What is Meta Quest pro?
Meta’s virtual-reality headset, the Quest Pro, was released on October 13, 2020. The device succeeds the original Quest and is an upgrade to the Rift S, with a higher resolution display and built-in headphones.
The Oculus Quest 2 has a weight of 720 grams and an LCD panel display with mini-LED backlighting and pancake lenses. It has a resolution of 1800 x 1920 pixels and a field of view of 106 degrees. Its performance is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Plus with motion tracking cameras, 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. Soft Reset:
What is a soft reset?
A soft reset is when you restart your device without losing any data. This can be helpful if your Meta Quest Pro is frozen or unresponsive.
How to Soft Reset Meta Quest Pro?
There are two ways to soft reset Meta Quest Pro.
Method 1:
- To turn off your device, wear the headset and press and hold the power button on the right side until you see the Power off the screen.
- Select Restart to confirm.
Method 2:
If your headset is frozen and you can’t restart it, there’s another way to fix minor bugs.
- For at least 10 seconds, press and hold the power button on the right side of the headset. The headset will then shut down.
- Wait at least 30 seconds after pressing and holding the power button, but no more than a minute, before turning it back on.
Factory Reset:
What is a factory reset?
A factory reset will delete all of the data on your Meta Quest Pro. This can be helpful if you’re experiencing major issues with your device.
How to Factory Reset Meta Quest Pro?
There are two ways to factory reset the Meta Quest Pro.
- Through the App
- Through the Headset
Factory Reset Meta Quest Pro Through the App:
To factory reset your device through the app, follow these steps:
- Open the Oculus app on your phone.
- Go to Menu > Devices and select the device you want to erase.
- If you have more than one connected to your app, choose the one you wish to reset and click Advanced Settings.
- If you wish to delete all data stored on the headset, select Factory Reset from the options. A warning screen will appear before deletion confirming your choice.
- If you’re sure you want of doing it, select Reset. The process will automatically begin once you start it.
- Just wait for it to finish before repeating the installation procedure for your Meta Quest Pro.
Factory Reset Meta Quest Pro Through the Headset:
If you can’t access the Oculus app or your phone, you can still reset your device through the headset.
Follow these steps to factory reset your Meta Quest Pro:
- With your headset on, Hold down the power and volume down buttons until the headset’s boot menu appears.
- To navigate through this menu, use the volume buttons. Pressing the power button will select an option. The following are the available options in testing:
- Boot device
- Device info
- Factory reset
- Sideload update
- Power off
- Choose “Factory reset” and then press the power button.
- Select “Yes, erase and factory reset” to continue.
